(Photo by Chanat Katanyu)Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered extra legal protection for officials assigned to trace and get compensation from offenders in price intervention schemes for rice, cassava and corn. However, affected parties maintained their right to demand compensation from the government in line with an offences law on the liability of government officials. The prime minister said the order was meant to facilitate the activities of the Legal Execution Department.
